Call for Presentation Proposals for the 2024 GLATA Annual Meeting and Symposium

The Great Lakes Athletic Trainers’ Association Education Committee is inviting proposals for professional presentations at the 57th GLATA Annual Meeting and Symposium in Wheeling, IL, March 13-16, 2024. Athletic Trainers and affiliated professionals are encouraged to submit proposals for feature presentations, learning labs, and mini-courses. Further descriptions and proposal guidelines are posted on the GLATA website under the Annual Meeting tab.
Presentation topics should address athletic training domain(s) of practice beyond entry-level knowledge or address a topic that would make a valuable contribution to the understanding of the practice or pedagogy of athletic training. Proposal submissions must avoid any affiliation with a commercial product or service.
Individuals interested in presenting must complete the online application indicating the presentation type, learning objectives, practice gap addressed, clinical bottom line, references, as well as a structured abstract (250 word limit; see website for format). All proposals must be submitted electronically through the speaker portal available on the GLATA website [www.glata.org]. Each submission will undergo review by the GLATA Education Committee.
After review by the GLATA Education Committee, speakers will be contacted if they were chosen to be part of the GLATA programming. In order to maintain compliance with the BOC additional informaiton may be requested from accepted speakers.
Speakers who are selected to present at GLATA will receive the following: complimentary registration, one night stay at the host hotel, transportation reimbursement.
We are pleased to offer an additional honorarium for those who have not previously presented at the GLATA Annual Meeting and Clinical Symposium.
Submissions must be received by June 1, 2023, for consideration.

Proposal topics must fall within one of the five domains of practice for athletic training.

- Assessment Evaluation and Diagnosis
- Critical Incident Management
- Therapeutic Intervention
- Healthcare Administration and Professional Responsibility
Proposal submissions must avoid any affiliation with a commercial product or service.
