GLATA Influential Individuals Project
Ms. Albohm received her Bachelor’s degree from Valparaiso University in Physical Education, and her Master’s degree from Indiana State University in Athletic Training.
Ms. Albohm is the Director of clinical research and fellowships and the Director of Össur Academy at Össur Americas located in Foothill Ranch, California.
She has served as the GLATA Secretary/Treasurer, President of the NATA Research and Education Foundation, GLATA District Director, NATA Secretary/Treasurer, NATA Vice President, as well as the NATA President from 2008-2012.
Her Impact on the Athletic Training Profession:
She is passionate about the profession and has been committed to having athletic trainers recognized as valuable heath care providers in all settings where their knowledge, skills, and abilities are appropriate. She has been a strong advocate for the Athletic Training Physician extender model for the last 25 years. She is also passionate about health care payer recognition and reimbursement for athletic trainers as well as pursuing the integration of Athletic Trainers in ACO models. Ms. Albohm says she “has been honored to serve our profession and privileged to be able to contribute to the advancement of athletic training and our members.”
