Biography:
Ronda Peterson, MS, LAT, ATC, is an athletic trainer and educator with over three decades of experience shaping the field. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Minnesota-Morris and an MS in Athletic Training from Illinois State University. Dedicated to both clinical practice and higher education, Peterson has been an integral part of Minnesota State University Moorhead (MSUM) since 1999, currently serving as an Assistant Professor in Athletic Training and Exercise Science after 25 years as an Assistant Athletic Trainer for Dragons Athletics. Prior to beginning at MSUM, she was the Head Athletic Trainer at Concordia College in Moorhead MN for five years and spent a year as the Head Athletic Trainer at her alma mater for a year. Her extensive service to the Minnesota Athletic Trainers’ Association (MATA) has been recognized with the MATA Athletic Trainer Service Award as well as her induction into the Minnesota Athletic Trainers’ Association Hall of Fame. She has also been awarded the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA) Service Award highlighting her deep commitment to the athletic training profession.
