Honors & Awards Information

 

GLATA members in good standing may nominate a colleague for a GLATA or NATA award.

The window to nominate for GLATA Honors & Awards is currently open. 

All nominations for GLATA Awards (1-5) are due to the GLATA Secretary no later than September 15 of the calendar year preceding the subsequent March Annual Meeting. The GLATA Secretary will chair the GLATA Honors and Awards Committee, which includes the State Representative of from each GLATA state or designee, the District IV and XI secretarties, and the DEIA Officer. Awards will be presented at the Annual Meeting each March.

GLATA Golden Pinnacle Award
Purpose: To recognize those members who have provided outstanding leadership to the Great Lakes Athletic Trainers’ Association. This is considered the highest honor for a GLATA member.
GLATA Dedicated Service Award
Purpose: To recognize those members who have demonstrated a superior level of excellence in managing and completing project(s) with the goal and outcome of creating a positive image of the GLATA and the athletic training profession.
GLATA Honorary Membership Award
Purpose: To recognize those individuals or corporations who have demonstrated significant contributions to athletic training which have resulted in a positive impact on GLATA.
GLATA Outstanding Educator Award
Purpose: To recognize those members who have significantly contributed to the education of GLATA members through athletic training education, mentorship, educational program development, or other educational activities.
GLATA Council on Early Career Athletic Trainers (CECAT) Preceptor of the Year
Purpose: To recognize an outstanding preceptor within the Great Lakes Athletic Trainers’ Association for their hard work and influence on the students within the GLATA.
Bobby Gunn Student Leadership Award
Purpose: To recognize one of the true pioneers in athletic training; to give deserving students assistance in attending NATA’s Annual Meeting.
Continuing Education Assistance Grant
Purpose: To provide GLATA members with the opportunity for financial assistance to attend the GLATA Annual Meeting and Clinical Symposium.
