Rachael Hewson Grotts, MS, LAT, ATC serves as Liaison to the Career Advancement Committee and District 11 Representative on the NATA Career Advancement Committee. She is currently an Athletic Trainer at the University of Chicago. Rachael earned her Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from Carroll University and completed a Post-Professional Master’s in Athletic Training at Illinois State University. One of her most meaningful athletic training memories was clearing a soccer athlete to return to play after an ACL tear and having the honor of presenting her with her team jersey—a special moment made even more memorable because of the coach’s tradition of awarding jerseys before the first game, symbolizing the athlete’s long journey back to the field.
