Matallyn Overmyer, MSAH, AT, ATC serves as the Ohio Early Career Representative and NATM Chair. She is a clinical athletic trainer at Heidelberg University, employed by Mercy Health and PT Services in Tiffin, Ohio, where she primarily works with the women’s soccer, women’s basketball, and baseball teams. Matallyn earned her Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from Heidelberg University, completed an Athletic Training Residency in Pediatric Certification through Ohio University and OhioHealth Sports Medicine, and holds a Master of Science in Allied Health – Healthcare Administration from Otterbein University. One of her favorite moments as an athletic trainer is attending the annual athletic awards ceremony, “The Siggy’s,” where she celebrates athletes who have succeeded or returned from injury—building relationships with athletes and coaches that make her work deeply rewarding.
